From 08/15/2024 to 11/30/2024, the Alliance Française of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, exhibits the artistic work of Houda Bakkali. An exhibition in which the public can approach digital art in its different versions, from printing to virtual spaces or immersive pieces that can be enjoyed through augmented reality.
“I am very grateful to the AF of Cartagena Indias for welcoming my work with so much love and enthusiasm. It is an honor to be part of their cultural events, of their space, an honor to be able to bring my art to their public and to the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias, Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the perfect fusion between the Caribbean Sea, art, rhythm, time and color. An emblematic destination and an emblematic institution that since 1968 represents diversity and culture.
In this exhibition art and creativity merge with informative content on the challenges of digital art beyond the artistic work, valuing its uses, utilities and opportunities, as well as the power that new technologies have to democratize art and bring it closer to the public, breaking spatial, temporal and generational barriers, making it understandable, creating spaces that enrich the physical canvas, that go beyond it creating messages that unite entertainment and information created so that the public can immerse, enjoy and experiment with each work in different ways. A global project that exemplifies the power of new technologies at the service of creativity to universalize art, breaking spatial, temporal and generational barriers.
