The Palazzo Bardotti Art Room and Diana, home to the Doctoral School of Architecture of the IUAV University of Venice, will host the exhibition Zhou Yiwen/Peaceful Home from October 24, 2024, curated by Wang Lin and Angelo Maggi, with whom he is a senator.

This exhibition is another important solo exhibition of the Chinese artist in Italy after participating in numerous international exhibitions.

The Chinese artist, born in Yueyang, Hunan in 1971, presents some of his latest works in his obviously provocative style, including two installations that can create a suggestive immersive experience in a room decorated with frescoes and stucco.

With his innate artistic talent and profound painting skills, Zhou Yiwen has successfully published many series of children’s stories and illustrations.

Among them, representative works such as “Balala Little Fairy”, “Adventure Little Prince”, “Mole Manor”, “Obi Island Adventure”, and “Armor Hero” have evolved into TV series and children’s dramas, profoundly affecting two generations of Chinese young people.

Zhou Yiwen is an artist, poet, fairy tale writer and other multiple identities, becoming a model figure worthy of learning and emulation in the development of traditional and contemporary art.

The exhibition presents the artist’s pursuit and desire for world peace, and conveys the importance and beauty of peace in the Western symbol of white dove.

In addition, it represents the fairy tale creator’s commitment to children and shows the artist’s interest in their growth and educational environment.

As an artist, he expresses his concern and resonance with global difficulties and humanitarian crises through his works.
