Barcelona, located on the northeastern coast of Spain, is a vibrant city known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and extraordinary architecture. The works of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí, including the famous Sagrada Família and Parque Güell, are a perfect example of the combination of modernism and Gothic style. Bustling streets, culinary delights and beautiful beaches add to the vibrancy of the city, which is also home to world-renowned exhibition spaces, such as the Picasso Museum, and hosts numerous cultural and artistic events throughout the year. Barcelona’s diverse neighborhoods, each with its own unique charm, attract visitors from all over the world every year.
Casa Milà is a building commissioned by Pere Milà and Roser Segimon from architect Antoni Gaudí. The building is known as Casa Milà because it was the residence of the family that commissioned it: the most emblematic civic building by the architect Antoni Gaudí, a masterpiece that stands out for its structural and functional innovations and architectural decoration design. It is a total work of art and a geographical landmark of the city.
In this place of special significance, sixteen outstanding Chinese artists will participate in the final judging of the Barcelona International Visual Arts Prize, through which the Effetto Arte Foundation hopes to provide artists with an important international platform for exposure and cooperation, and to enhance the quality of their experience in the process of exchanging ideas. Through this award, the Effetto Arte Foundation hopes to provide artists with an important international platform for exposure and collaboration, and to increase their visibility and influence worldwide.
